Migrating ledgers creates Journal Entries, Misc Receipts, or Misc Payments to the General Ledger from records in a secondary ledger.  To migrate ledger data, navigate to Finance > Ledger > Migrate Ledgers.  You must have Finance Full or Finance Read and FinanceGL Full role to migrate ledgers.  Note: Records must be posted in the subledger in order to be migrated.  Note: Accounts that are in the subledger but not the general ledger cannot have their transactions migrated.  This results in records like out of balance Journal Entries where the credits don't match the debits.  When migrating ledgers, the second step of migrating lists any "Accounts Missing in General Ledger" that should be associated with the general ledger.   Note: Invoices/Credits/Journal Entries that have already been migrated to the general ledger, even if voided, are not migrated a second time.  Note: When migrating Invoices/Credits/Journal Entries, the entire associated Transaction Register is migrated.  This means that journal entries may be created for records outside of the date range that you specify.  Example:  You post all invoices for the month with the same multi-action.  You decide to migrate through the 15th of the month.  Journal entries are still created for all dates even, including those after the 15th.  Note: Deposits and Payments that have been migrated to the general ledger and deleted from the general ledger are migrated again if the same date range is used.  Invoices / Credits / Journal Entries are not.  Note:  Deposits and Payments are migrated unposted.  For records that are subsequently voided, void them in the General Ledger as well.  Other records migrated as journal entries include voided transactions in the journal entries automatically.

Migrating Deposits (including receipts) creates Miscellaneous Receipts in the General Ledger.
Migrating Payments creates Miscellaneous Payments in the General Ledger.
Migrating Other (Invoices, Credits, Journal Entries) creates Journal Entries in the General Ledger.
