How can I get rid of the duplicate teachers? It doesn’t look like they are separate records as the same id number is attached to each duplicate record.

Each staff member appears once in teacher lists and mail merges. Two users connected to the same teacher are visible in Security > Teachers, which lists one row per user, and in the Closing the School Year Review Users statistic “Staff associated with multiple users”. A user's staff association follows its Household and Household Indicator, so two users show the same teacher when both point at the same household contact. Once you identify the user record that should be disconnected from the teacher, go to Details -> Profile and set the Household Indicator to the contact this user actually is, or clear the Household association if the user does not belong to the household. Then click Save. The staff association follows the corrected household contact.
