Notification Triggers in PCR Educator Campus now include a Staff category, so a school can email its faculty and staff on a daily or weekly schedule from one trigger. A Friday 8:00 AM staff reminder is set up once, with Send Rate Weekly, Send Day of Week Friday and Deliver at 8:00 AM, and reaches every matching staff member weekly.

What can schools do with the Staff category?

Send a weekly staff reminder from one trigger. Choose the Staff category, a template and a schedule, and the same email goes to the staff who match each week, for the whole school year.

Pick the recipients with staff filters. The Merge Filter (Staff) is a saved filter on staff records, such as full-time staff or one division, and the Eligible Recipients Filter (User) narrows the list further by login.

Personalize each email. The Email Template (Staff) list offers the templates created from the Staff list, so each message can carry the staff member's name and other fields from the staff record.

Keep new colleagues in the loop. Each run evaluates the filters again, so a staff member whose record newly matches is included in the next send. Only active staff with a Campus login are addressed.

How does the Staff category help the front office?

A head of school's office, a division office or a communications team can put a weekly bulletin or a Friday reminder on the morning staff read email, and the trigger carries it from there. The audience follows the staff records, and the suppression settings apply as they do for Student and Household triggers, with each staff member receiving a given trigger at most once a day. Questions schools ask

Which staff members receive a Staff trigger? Active staff whose staff record is linked to a Campus login and who match the trigger's Merge Filter (Staff) and Eligible Recipients Filter (User).

Can the same email go to staff every Friday at 8:00 AM? Yes. Set Send Rate to Weekly, Send Day of Week to Friday and Deliver at to 8:00 AM, and the trigger sends it each Friday morning to everyone who matches that week.

Can staff opt in or out? Yes. With Require Opt In checked, the email goes to the staff who opted in on their portal notification preferences. With it cleared, it goes to every eligible staff member who has not opted out.
