Budget Allocation

Budget allocation shows the current state of a budget. To access the budget allocations, navigate to Finance - Budgeting - Budget Allocations. You must have FinanceBudget Full or FinanceBudget Read roles to access this screen.

Choose an GL Account Mapping. Note: If there are no GL Account Mapping then no accounts show on the budget screen.

Choose the desired Fiscal Year and active Budget. Note: By default, the main budget and current fiscal year are initially selected. Note: Depending on your browser resolution or screen size, these options may appear in the upper right corner or on the second row above the search. Note: The first (blank) option refers to the main budget. Note: All Actual and YTD amounts are from posted transactions only.

Budget is the budget amount for the currently selected fiscal year. Note: Clicking on the amount brings up the edit window for the allocation. You may specify an amount for each budget period or an amount for the year. When specifying an amount for the year, the amount will be evenly distributed across all of the budget periods.
Budget LY is the budget amount specified for the prior fiscal year.
Request is the amount requested by the Budget Manager for the general ledger account in the selected fiscal year.
Request LY is the amount requested by the Budget Manager for the general ledger account in the prior fiscal year.
Actual is the actual balance in the general ledger account for the currently selected fiscal year.
Actual LY is the actual balance in the general ledger account for the prior fiscal year.
YTD is the Year to Date balance in the general ledger account for the currently selected fiscal year.
YTD LY is the Year to Date balance in the general ledger account for the prior fiscal year.
Note indicates if the Budget Manager has a note for the selected allocation and year. Note: Click the Budget link to review the entire note.
