The CMS Widget - Students with Households Directory lists students on a portal page with their grade level, email and phone, their household address, and each parent's name, phones, emails, education and employment. The widget can be found within the Directory group. Please review Adding CMS Widget for more information.
The directory lists one row per student and household, so a student who belongs to two households that are shown appears once for each household. Parents with a deceased date are not listed. Visitors search with two search rows, which open on Student Last Name and Student Grade Level, and choose to show 10, 25, 50, 100 or all students per page. A speaker icon next to the student name plays the student's name pronunciation when one has been recorded.
Show Households Type determines which students and households appear in the directory.
- Publish On Web Only lists only students whose household has Publish on online directory checked, with the details of those households.
- All Households lists every student with the details of every household, published or not.
- All Students Published Households Only lists every student and shows household details only for households with Publish on online directory checked. A student whose households are all unpublished appears once, with Not Published in the first parent column and no address, household phone, household email, parent details or parent pictures.
Note: With All Students Published Households Only, a search on a household field such as Parent, Parent Email, Carpool or City matches only published households.
Divisions limits the directory to students enrolled in the selected divisions for the current school year. When no division is selected, students from every division appear.
Excluded Substatuses leaves out students who have any of the selected substatuses.
Search Fields determines which fields visitors can choose in the search rows.
Is Second Search Hidden hides the second search row.
Export Enabled shows an Export button that downloads the directory as an Excel file, with every student that matches the current search. The file includes the columns that the settings below show.
Student Link is the CMS Page that opens when a visitor clicks a student name. When this setting is empty, the student name is plain text.
Header Label Student, Header Label Parent1 and Header Label Parent2 are the headings shown above the student column and the two parent columns.
Show Picture shows the student photo. Clicking the photo opens it at full size.
Show Parent Picture shows a photo for each parent.
Hide Homeroom hides the student homeroom.
Hide Student Email hides the student email.
Hide Student Phone hides the student phone.
Is Address Shown shows the household address, with a link to the address on a map, and the household phone. Note: The address and household phone are not shown for a household with Hide address on directory checked.
Hide Household Email hides the household email.
Show Parent Phones shows each parent's phones with their phone type.
Excluded Phone Types is a comma-separated list of phone types to leave out, for example Business 2.
Excluded Phone Index is a comma-separated list of phone positions to leave out, where 0 is a parent's first phone. Example: 1,2 leaves out each parent's second and third phones.
Show Parent Emails shows each parent's emails with their email type.
Excluded Email Types is a comma-separated list of email types to leave out.
Excluded Email Index is a comma-separated list of email positions to leave out, where 0 is a parent's first email.
Show Education shows each school a parent attended, with the degree earned and the year graduated.
Show Parent Employment shows each parent's employer, industry and position.
