A staff user is a User record that is associated with a Staff record. Create staff users in the Security module, which requires the Security Full role, or with Importing New Records - Users; both assign the Roles and Schools (school divisions) that a proper staff account needs. The staff record's Login page (Admin > Staff > Details > Login or Scheduling > Staff > Details > Login, available with the Scheduling Full or Security Full role) creates a basic user account that is already associated with the staff record and its Staff Household contact; the Roles and Schools are then assigned in the Security module. Note: A staff user's associations come from the Staff Household: the user is associated with the household, and the Household Indicator identifies which contact of the household the staff member is.
To create a staff user:
Follow the steps in Configuring New User (Security).
In the User Profile, select the Staff Household and choose the Household Indicator for the staff member's contact. The profile fills in the Staff record from that contact and saves the association automatically. Note: The Household Indicator specifies whether the staff user is contact 1 (P) or contact 2 (S) of the staff household record.
