This query returns student graduation requirements, including course names. You must have either the Registrar Full or Registrar Read role to access it.

Note: If you have more than one graduation plan, you can select the desired plan in the Graduation Requirements table.

Note: In a graduation plan with credit links, a course whose extra credit counts toward another requirement is listed under that requirement. When only part of a course's credit moves, the course appears on two rows, for example 0.5 credit under each requirement. In-progress credit does not move, so a course still in progress that both linked requirements count is listed under the giving requirement until it earns credit. The query reads the regenerative Graduation Requirements table. Adding or deleting a link in the Credit Links section refreshes that table for the plan as part of the save, so the query shows the change once the save finishes. See DAT Regenerative Table and Graduation Requirement Credit Counting.

Note: The Graduation Requirements table is refreshed when a credit link is added or deleted in the Credit Links section, and when the datasource is refreshed in DAT, which is available once the data is more than 4 hours old (review DAT Regenerative Table). Other changes appear in this query after the next refresh. These include new or changed marks, changes to a plan, its requirements or their criteria, and credit links that are removed because a requirement is removed from the plan or because the course requirement a link uses as its Courses filter is deleted. Transcripts show every change at once.

Reporting on graduation plan setup: To report on how your graduation plans are set up, build a DAT Query on the Graduation Plans and Graduation Plan Requirements tables in the Grades / Comments / Reports data category. Both tables require the Registrar Full or Registrar Read role.

Graduation Plans: one row for each graduation plan, with Graduation Plan Id, Graduation Plan Name and School Id. Connect it to School Info to show the school Name.

Graduation Plan Requirements: one row for each requirement on a graduation plan, with Grad Req Id, Graduation Plan Id, Prerequisite Id and Required Number Of Credits. Connect it to Prerequisites to show the requirement's Prerequisite Name. The Prerequisites table requires the Scheduling Full or Scheduling Read role.

Example: To list every plan with its requirements and credits, choose Graduation Plans as the initial table, connect Graduation Plan Requirements and then Prerequisites, and display Graduation Plan Name, Prerequisite Name and Required Number Of Credits. This example needs a Registrar role and a Scheduling role. See DAT Query - Step 1 - Choosing Initial Table and DAT Query - Step 1 - Connecting Tables.

Both tables also connect to the Graduation Requirements table, so one query can show each student's credits next to the requirements of the plan.

Graduation Credit Links: one row for each credit link, in the same data category and with the same roles. Takes Extra From and Extra Counts Toward show the names of the two linked requirements, Courses Filter shows the course requirement that limits which courses may use the link (blank when the link has no filter), Link Order is the order in which the giving requirement uses its links, and Graduation Plan Id shows the plan. Takes Extra From (Grad Req Id), Extra Counts Toward (Grad Req Id) and Courses Filter Prerequisite Id hold the ids behind those names. The table connects to Graduation Plan Requirements through Takes Extra From (Grad Req Id). See Creating Graduation Requirement Credit Link.
