PCR Educator has expanded the health visit and consolidated how medication doses are recorded. A visit now captures vitals, findings, a nursing diagnosis, the intervention, the plan and every parent contact, and every dose a school gives lands in one searchable list. These pages require the Health Full or Health Read role. Deleting a visit or a medication requires Health Full.

What's new

Visit templates. Health > Maintenance > Visit Templates holds the visits a school records again and again, and Apply template fills in the whole form so the nurse only adjusts. Starter templates are already in place, built from each school's own most repeated visits.

Full clinical documentation. Oxygen saturation, blood glucose and pain score join the existing vitals, and observed findings, nursing diagnosis, assessment narrative, intervention notes, comfort measures and follow-up instructions each have their own field. Nursing Diagnosis is a seeded dropdown a school can extend.

Every parent contact on the visit. Record who was called, when, and what was said. A visit also records Time Out alongside Time In, and Referred By names the staff member who sent the student.

Several medications on one visit. Each medication has its own line carrying Medication, Dose, Route, Given at and Instructions, with Route chosen from the standard clinical abbreviations.

Every dose in one list. Health > RX Dispersal History lists every dose given, whether scheduled, during a visit, or as needed, with search, filter and export, and the same list appears as the RX History tab on a student record. Health > Medications lists every medication record in the school.

Reporting and letters. The Data Analytics Tool gains a Medications Given area, and health visit mail merges gain a Medications Given field that reads as one line however many medications were given.

Why it matters

A nurse completes a visit faster and documents it more completely at the same time. A template fills in the common visit, the fields hold the detail that matters, and the contact log sits on the record rather than in someone's memory. One list answers whether a student received a dose, and the same records reach reports and letters home without anyone assembling them by hand.
