Update: Notification Triggers Can Send at a Chosen Time

Posted October 22, 2026

Notification Triggers in PCR Educator Campus can now deliver their emails at a time of day the school chooses, using a new Deliver at setting on the trigger. The trigger still runs overnight to decide who receives the message, and the finished emails leave at the chosen hour, so a Friday 8:00 AM announcement reaches families at 8:00 AM.

What can schools do with Deliver at?

Pick the hour the message arrives. Set Deliver at on any trigger with a Send Rate, such as a Student or Household trigger, and the emails leave at that time in the school's local time zone. Leave it blank and the trigger sends during its overnight run.

Keep a weekly email on a weekly schedule. Send Rate Weekly, Send Day of Week Friday, Deliver at 8:00 AM: the same template goes to every matching household each Friday morning, week after week, from one trigger the school configures once.

Decide recipients overnight, deliver by day. Eligibility, filters and merge fields are evaluated in the overnight run. The finished emails are held and released at the chosen time, so the morning send is ready before the day begins.

See every held send in the Notification Jobs list. Each timed send appears in Notifications > Notification Jobs with its delivery date and time, where it can be reviewed, and cancelled if plans change, before it goes out. It carries the same read and link tracking as every other notification.

How does Deliver at help the front office?

A registrar or communications office can put a weekly bulletin, a Friday reminder or a seasonal announcement on the hour families actually read email, and then leave it alone. Because each run evaluates the trigger's filters again, a household that newly matches is included automatically, and the suppression rules that keep a family from receiving the same message twice still apply.

Questions schools ask

Which triggers offer Deliver at? Every trigger that has a Send Rate setting, including Student, Household, Inquiry Actions (Admissions), Inquiry Missing Actions and User Website Announcements.

What happens when Deliver at is blank? The trigger sends during its overnight run, between midnight and 7 AM local time.

Can the same email go out every Friday at 8:00 AM? Yes. Set Send Rate to Weekly, Send Day of Week to Friday, Deliver at to 8:00 AM and Minimum days between fires to 0, and the trigger sends it each Friday at 8:00 AM to everyone who matches that week.
