Waiver codes are the codes a user enters to receive a discount that Requires Waiver Code. They are generated on the discount product under Product > Details > Waiver Codes. A code is accepted at checkout only once it has been issued and while it is not used up. You need Finance Full or Contract Full to generate codes.
Number of waiver codes is how many random codes to generate.
Code Length is the number of characters in each random code.
Or enter one specific code creates a single code of your choosing, up to 10 characters, for a promotion code you publish. Leave it blank to generate random codes. Note: A code must be unique across all products.
Uses per code is how many times each code may be redeemed. Leave it blank for unlimited use. Note: Each completed checkout that applies the code counts as one use.
Mark as issued immediately issues the codes as they are generated. Otherwise, issue a code from the list when you give it out, using Mark as Issued.
Comment is recorded on each code generated, for your own reference.
The list shows each code with Is Issued, Uses (the number of redemptions against the limit, such as 3 of 10 or 3 of unlimited), Used Up (the code has reached its limit and is no longer accepted), and Comment. Include applied codes adds the used-up codes to the list. Export downloads the list.
Note: The CMS Widget - Sign up Summary and CMS Widget - Shopping Cart Summary provide the field where the user enters the code.
