On Transcript - Final, the graduation requirements total shows credits remaining because the default footer adds up what each requirement row still needs, so extra credit on one row does not reduce another row's shortfall. To print the student's overall standing, add a Total Credits requirement to the plan and choose it in Totals Line when requesting the transcript.
Example: A student who needs 24 credits has earned 25.5, with 4 extra credits in Math, 0.5 still needed in Theology, and 2 still needed in Electives. On Transcript - Final the default footer shows 2.5 credits remaining, while a Total Credits requirement shows 25.5 of 24. The other graduation transcripts print Earned, In Progress and Required with no remaining column.
A Total Credits requirement is a course requirement with Course Type set to (Any course type), added to the plan with the diploma total as its Required Number of Credits and no credit links. It counts each course once, even a course that two other requirements count. Review Transcript Totals Line for the setup steps.
Credit links help as well: a link from Math to Electives lets Math's extra credit count toward Electives while Electives is short, so the rows themselves reflect it. Review Creating Graduation Requirement Credit Link.
Note: The 0.5 credit still needed in Theology stays on its row either way. A Total Credits requirement reports the overall total, and each other requirement still shows its own shortfall.
