Inquiry Action List

An Inquiry Action List is the Record List of inquiry actions, the actions recorded on inquiries and applicants. It is available at Admissions > Actions. You need the Admissions Full, Admissions Read, or Admissions Evaluator role to access the Admissions module and the Actions Full or Actions Read role to access this page.

include all decides which actions are listed. By default the list shows the actions recorded for the Admissions Year specified in School Info, and only that year. include all adds the actions of every year. The list does not have an all divisions checkbox.

Column explanations:

Description is the action type. Clicking it opens the action. Academic Year is the year the action was recorded for. Each action carries its own year, which can differ from the year the inquiry is applying for.

Inquiry is the inquiry the action belongs to. Clicking it opens the inquiry dashboard.

Scheduled and Completed are the dates the action is scheduled for and was completed. A blank Completed date means the action is still open.

Modified is the user who last changed the action and when.

Search fields worth knowing:

Academic Year finds the actions recorded for a particular year, which matters when include all is checked.

Action Description finds actions of the selected type.

Assigned To Username finds the actions of inquiries assigned to a staff member.

Completed Date and Scheduled Date search the two dates, for example Scheduled Date <= today to find actions due.

Correspondence Method finds actions recorded with the selected correspondence method, such as email or phone.

The main purpose of this page is to perform multi-actions on the actions, such as Inquiry Action Delete Multi-action and Inquiry Action Mark Completed Multi-action. See Recording Inquiry Action for how actions are created.
