A Record List is the page in a Campus module that shows the records of one type, such as students, households, or vendors, as a searchable grid.  Each module menu opens with its record lists, and each list links to the dashboard and the details pages of the records it shows.  All record lists share the layout described here.  Note: Not every list has every element described below.  The article for an individual list, such as Student List, describes what is different about that list and what its options mean for that type of record.  The lists available in each module are listed in Record List - Admin, Record List - Admissions, Record List - Development, Record List - Finance, Record List - Financial Aid, Record List - Health, Record List - Home, Record List - Scheduling, and Record List - Security.

Alphabet Bar is the row of letter buttons above the grid.  Clicking a letter shows the records whose name begins with that letter.  All removes the letter restriction.

Filter is the funnel icon above the grid.  It applies a saved DAT Filter to the list so that only records meeting the filter conditions are shown.  See Initializing DAT Filter from List and Using Filter Groups on Lists.

Search Fields search the list on one or two fields.  Select a field, an operator, and a value, then click Search.  Text fields offer Contains, Like, Not Like, and Multi Select.  Numbers and dates offer =, >=, >, <=, <, and <>.  Like and Contains accept wildcards; see Searching with Wildcards.  A second condition can be added and joined to the first with And or Or.  Note: Multi Select lets you choose several values at once, but the dropdown only shows the first 25 values.  Type the beginning of a value to see the matching values that are not listed.  Note: The search fields differ by list.  The article for each list names the fields worth knowing.

selected only shows only the records you have selected.  It is checked automatically when you open a list while records of that type are already selected.

include all and all divisions widen the list beyond its default scope.  By default a list shows the records that are current for the selected school division.  What is included by default, and what each checkbox adds, depends on the type of record and the module.  See the article for each list for the definitions.

Selecting Records is done with the checkbox on each row.  The checkbox in the header selects every record in the current search on every page, not only the page shown.  Selected records stay selected while you search, page, and open other pages, and the number of selected records is shown above the grid.  Multi-actions apply to the selected records.

Sorting and Paging are done with the column headings and the page numbers below the grid.  Click a heading to sort by that column and click it again to reverse the order.

Gear is the icon at the right of the column headings.  It chooses which columns are shown, including the Flags column described in Configuring Flags, and sets the number of rows shown per page.  Some lists also offer Group By.  Click Apply to save the settings, which are remembered for your user.

Multi-Actions is the dropdown shown above and below the grid.  Select records, then choose a multi-action to apply it to all selected records at once.  Nothing happens when no records are selected.  The multi-actions offered depend on the list and on your roles.

New creates a new record of the list's type.

Export downloads the records in the current search as a CSV file.  All pages are exported, up to 10,000 records, using the columns shown in the grid.

Dashboard Link is the first column of the grid.  Clicking the record name opens the record's dashboard, a summary page with the record's details pages listed at the top.  The icon beside the name opens the dashboard in a new browser tab.

Details Link is the last column of the grid and opens the record for editing.  The icon beside it opens the details page in a new browser tab.

Action Buttons appear at the top of some dashboards, such as New Invoice, New Receipt, and New Credit for a customer.  The same actions can be added to the list as columns through the gear, so a record can be acted on without opening its dashboard first.
