The Upcoming Events widget is a new Admissions Profile widget for Apply Online that lists every admissions event an applicant has signed up for, each on its own card with the date, the time and the event category instructions. Families see their auditions, visits and interviews at a glance, on the same page as their admissions checklist.
What can schools do with the Upcoming Events widget?
Give families one list of their events. Each event the applicant signed up for appears as its own card, in date order, with the event category name and the start and end time.
Show the details for each event on its card. The Instruction text written on the event category appears with its formatting, links and images, so directions, arrival times and what to bring sit next to the event they belong to.
Set the message for applicants with no events. No Events Text shows a message such as a reminder to sign up. When it is blank, the widget appears once the applicant signs up for an event.
Choose how much each card shows. Include Past Events keeps earlier visits and auditions on the list, and Collapse Instructions folds each card's instructions under a label families can open.
Pair it with the admissions checklist. The Admissions Profile Actions widget has a matching Event Instructions column, so each scheduled event on the checklist can show the same instructions beneath it.
How does the Upcoming Events widget help the admissions team?
Every family that signs up for an audition, a campus visit or an interview has one place to check what is booked and what to expect. The admissions team writes the instructions once, on the event category in Admissions > Maintenance > Event Categories, and the widget shows the current text to every family signed up for that category's events. Questions schools ask
Where does the Upcoming Events widget go? On the applicant profile page in Apply Online. Add it from Add Widget, then Admissions Profile, then Upcoming Events.
Can an applicant have more than one event on the list? Yes. Each event the applicant signed up for has its own card, ordered by date, with the instructions from that event's category.
Which applicant does the widget show? The applicant selected on the page, the same applicant shown by the other Admissions Profile widgets.
