The CMS Widget - Financial Aid Awards lists the financial aid awards recorded for the applicant of an Application Form, so that the family sees the aid before the charges are shown. The widget can be found within the Application Forms group. Please review Adding CMS Widget for more information.
The awards are read from the student's, inquiry's, or household's financial aid award records for the form's academic year, according to the person type of the invitation. Each award shows the accepted amount when the award has been accepted, otherwise the awarded amount. The widget is display only; the awards are accepted and applied as credits when the form is signed. Review Application Form Billing.
Amount Basis, on the Application Form tab, selects the figure shown for each award. Full Amount, the default, and Prorated Amount show the award as granted to the family. My Responsibility shows the award multiplied by the viewing household's frozen share, which is the credit that lands on that household's bill and matches the aid credit line on the CMS Widget - Submit Summary.
Row Code, on the Application Form tab, is an HTML template rendered once per award. When it is empty, the widget uses its standard two-column layout. The template may use the following merge fields, written with triple brackets.
- [[[Award.Type]]] is the award type.
- [[[Award.AcademicYear]]] is the academic year, shown as 2026/2027.
- [[[Award.Status]]] is the award status.
- [[[Award.Comment]]] is the award comment.
- [[[Award.ProductName]]] is the product the award applies to.
- [[[Award.AmountFormatted]]] is the amount selected by Amount Basis.
- [[[Award.FullAmountFormatted]]] is the award as granted.
- [[[Award.MyResponsibilityFormatted]]] is the award multiplied by the household's share.
A merge field that cannot be resolved is removed from the output. The PDF renders the same template, so the screen and the signed document show identical text.
Visibility Source and Visibility Value show the widget only when the referenced drop down or check box holds the given value.
Pdf Label Style and Pdf Response Style set the font style of the widget on the PDF.
Note: An award larger than the charges it credits is capped at those charges on the summary and the bill; the excess remains with the household as a credit. Review Applying Financial Aid Awards to Customer Invoices as Line Items for how aid is posted in Finance.
