Household List

A Household List is the Record List of household records. It is available in these modules:

- Admin > Households. You need the Admin Full, Admin Read, Registrar Full, or Registrar Read role.
- Admissions > Households. You need the Admissions Full or Admissions Read role.
- Financial Aid > Households. You need the FinancialAid Full or FinancialAid Read role.
- Health > Households. You need the Health Full or Health Read role.

Note: Households, contacts, customers, and vendors are all the same records. Development > Contacts, Finance > Customers, and Finance > Vendors show them from the point of view of those modules. See Contact List, Customer List, and Vendor List. Note: The two people of a household are called Parent 1 and Parent 2 where the households are typically associated with students, and Contact 1 and Contact 2 where the households may be more general records such as donors or vendors. Otherwise the terms are synonymous.

include all and all divisions depend on the module.

In Admin and Health, the list is based on students. By default it shows households with a student whose Status is Enrolled and who belongs to the selected school division. include all adds households with a student of any status who belongs to the division. all divisions adds households with an enrolled student in any division. See Households by Division.

In Admissions and Financial Aid, the list is based on inquiries. By default it shows households with an inquiry or applicant for the selected division who is applying for the Admissions Year specified in School Info or a later year, leaving out inquiries whose status is Copied. include all adds the households of the inquiries whose status is Copied. all divisions adds households with an inquiry in any division and any year. See Household Include All (Admissions) and Inquiry/Applicant List for the difference between the Copied and Enrolled statuses.

Updates and Duplicates are statistics shown above the Admin list. Updates counts households with changes made through the portal that have not been reviewed, and Duplicates counts households that share the same address and zip code with a matching parent name. Click either number to show those households. Households linked by a relationship in Development are not counted as duplicates. Note: Both counts are cached for 60 minutes.

Column explanations:

Parent1 and Parent2 are the names of the two parents. Clicking a name opens that parent for editing.

Last Action, Last Date, Next Action, and Next Date show the most recent completed household action and the next scheduled one. Clicking the action opens the household's actions.

Flags shows the flag attributes applied to the household. See Configuring Flags.

Search fields worth knowing:

Parent Names searches the household name and the names of both parents. It also matches a parent's previous last name, so a household can be found under a name that has since changed. Names are matched as Last Name, First Name.

Parent Emails searches all of the email addresses recorded on both parents. Contact Phones searches the household phone and all of the phone numbers recorded on both parents.

Household Action finds households that have an action of the selected type.

Attribute Current, Attribute Category Current, Attribute Ever, and Attribute Category Ever are described in Searching by Attribute.

The remaining search fields are the individual fields of each parent, listed as Parent 1 and Parent 2 fields, including Parent 1 Prev Last Name, Parent 2 Prev Last Name, Parent 1 Is Deceased, and Parent 2 Is Deceased.
