Application Form Student Overrides

Posted September 26, 2026

Application Form Student Overrides are edits to the frozen prices and selections of one applicant after the invitation has been started, so that a single family can be charged differently from what the form's widgets and overrides resolve. The page is found under Admin > Applications > Application Forms > Student Overrides and requires the Website Full role.

When a family starts a form, the applicable values of every priced widget are copied into a snapshot for each paying household; review Application Form Signing. This page edits that snapshot directly.

Invitation (applicant) selects the invitation to edit.

When the applicant has not started the form yet, the page reports that no snapshot exists and offers Prepopulate Selections. The button materializes the applicant's resolved options across every paying household, exactly as the family's first visit would, so the values can be edited before the family sees them. Existing snapshots are left untouched.

Note: When the applicant matches more than one override for the same property of a widget, nothing is materialized and the page names the widgets and properties concerned. Correct the overrides on Application Form Overrides (Check for overlaps lists every affected student), then click Prepopulate Selections again.

The grid shows one row per priced widget with the following columns.

Control Id identifies the widget.

Label is the text shown to the family for this line. Editing it changes the label on the summary and on the PDF for this applicant only.

Mode is Fixed for an amount in currency or Percent for a percentage of the product's price. Percent is enabled only when the product supports a percentage.

Selected determines whether the line counts toward the applicant's pricing. A fee only counts when its row is Selected.

Fee (student gross) is the student-level gross amount of the line. On Save it is re-split across the applicant's paying households in proportion to the frozen snapshot, so each household keeps its original share.

Percent is the percentage applied when the Mode is Percent.

Households is the number of endorsements the line is split across.

Note warns with Fee will not count (not selected) when an amount has been entered on a line that is not Selected.

Save writes the edited rows to every endorsement of the applicant.

Note: Student Overrides change one applicant. To change every applicant who matches a filter, use Application Form Overrides instead. To discard a family's edited snapshot and start again from the form's current values, use Reset Snapshot on Application Form Invitation.

Note: A signed endorsement has already been archived and billed. Edits made here after a signature do not change the archived contract or the posted invoices.
