The CMS Widget - Sign and Submit is the button that signs an Application Form for the logged-in parent's household, collects the payment due at signing, archives the selections, and bills the household once every required signature is in. It is placed on the last page of the form and on the secondary signer landing page. The widget can be found within the Application Forms group. Please review Adding CMS Widget for more information. The steps the button performs are described in Application Form Signing.
Button Text is the caption of the button. The default is Sign and Submit.
Start With New Line places the button on its own line instead of alongside the control before it.
Visibility Source and Visibility Value show the widget only when the referenced drop down or check box holds the given value.
Success Link is the CMS Page the parent is sent to after signing. When it is empty and Generate Pdf On Sign is checked, which is the default, the parent is sent to the contract PDF instead.
Office Copy On Sign sends the parent to the office copy of the PDF rather than the family copy. It is normally left unchecked.
Pdf Title is the title printed on the contract PDF and used as the start of its file name. When it is empty, the title is Application. Pdf Title Admissions is the title of the office copy; the default is Application (Office Version).
Confirmation Email is the correspondence template emailed to the signer once the signature that completes the household's contract has been recorded and the household's invoices have been posted. The template is a Household email template and can be paired with a saved filter that is evaluated against the signer's household, so one template can go to returning families and another to new families. The merge field [[SignedPdfLink]] inserts the link to the signed contract PDF, and the Household merge fields such as [[HouseholdAddressee1]] are available. When a two-signature household is completed by the second parent, both parents receive the email. A signature that does not complete the household's contract sends no email. When the property is empty, no email is sent.
Payment Received Email is the correspondence template sent in place of Confirmation Email when the signing collected a payment. It accepts the same merge fields. When it is empty, Confirmation Email is sent whether or not a payment was collected.
Require Payment determines whether a balance due at signing must be paid before the form can be signed. When set to Yes, a declined or missing payment stops the signing. When set to No, the signature is recorded and the balance is invoiced.
Process In Test Mode sends payments to the gateway's test endpoint so that no funds move. Use it while testing the form and clear it before opening the form to families.
Save Profile determines when the payer's payment method is stored in the customer vault for later installments.
- Never stores it only when the payer checks the remember option on the payment widget.
- Always stores it even when nothing is due at signing, so that the payment widget is always shown and a method is always captured.
- Deposit Only stores it only when an amount is collected at signing.
- Outstanding Balance Only stores it only when the contract carries a balance to be charged later.
Note: When any radio button option on the form has Require Vault set to Credit Card, Echeck, or Either, the option the family selected decides what is stored, and Save Profile is not used on that form. The selected option names the payment method that must be entered and stored at signing; a payment entered with the other kind of method is refused with a message before any amount is charged. A selected option whose Require Vault is None stores nothing, unless the family checks a Remember Payment option that is shown on the widget, and when nothing is due at signing the payment widgets are hidden. Review Application Form Widget Properties.
Payment Configuration Credit Card and Payment Configuration Echeck are the auto-pay configurations the page charges against for each payment method. The gateway, the vault, the deposit, receivable, and classification accounts, and the convenience fee come from the configuration. Both configurations must belong to the form's ledger. Review Auto-Pay Configuration (Finance).
Pdf Label Style and Pdf Response Style set the font style of the button's label and value on the PDF.
Note: Place the credit card, e-check, or stored payment widgets on the same page as the button. The button shows them when an amount is due now, when the contract carries a balance to be charged on a later date, when Save Profile is Always, or when the selected radio button option requires a stored payment method, and hides them on a signature that will not finalize the household, such as the first signature of a two-signature household.
Note: When the form's menu tracks completion, the button refuses to sign until every page before the signing page has been completed and names the pages that are missing.
Note: A parent who arrives on the signing page from a signing link email must be logged in with the account of the contact the link was issued to; otherwise the page redirects to the login or reports that the link belongs to another contact.
