CMS Widget - Signature Pad

Posted September 26, 2026

The CMS Widget - Signature Pad is a drawing area where a parent signs an Application Form with the mouse or a finger. The drawn signature is stored with the household's endorsement and printed on the contract PDF. It is placed on the signing page next to the CMS Widget - Sign and Submit button and on the secondary signer landing page. The widget can be found within the Application Forms group. Please review Adding CMS Widget for more information.

The widget shows a prompt, the name of the signer in bold, the drawing area, and a Clear button that erases the drawing.

Prompt is the caption shown above the drawing area. The default is Draw your signature in the box below. Example: I, the undersigned, certify that the information provided is accurate.

Signer Role is Primary or Secondary and decides which signature slot of the household the pad writes to. The default is Primary. On a form that is signed by two parents, the slot is normally resolved from the signing link or from the logged-in parent's position on the household, and the setting is only used when neither applies.

Required determines whether the parent must draw a signature before the Sign and Submit button accepts the page. The default is No. When set to Yes, an empty pad shows the message Signature is required.

Visibility Source and Visibility Value show the widget only when the referenced drop down or check box holds the given value.

Pdf Label Style and Pdf Response Style set the font style of the prompt and the signature caption on the PDF.

Note: Each parent who signs needs the pad on the page they sign from. One pad on the signing page serves the first signer, and one pad on the secondary signer landing page serves the second signer. Review Application Form Signing.

Note: On a form with an office countersign, the contract PDF prints the school signature block after the parents' signatures, with the signer name and title from Application Form Details, and the school's signature and the date are added to it when the office countersigns. Review Application Form Countersigning.
