The CMS Widget - Application Invitations lists, for the logged-in parent, every Application Form invitation of the students and accepted applicants in the parent's household, with a status and a Start, Continue, or Sign button. It is the entry point of every Application Form and belongs on a portal page that requires login. The widget can be found within the Registration group. Please review Adding CMS Widget for more information.
Opening the page also checks every open Application Form: a student or accepted applicant of the parent's household who qualifies for an invitation type filter and has no invitation yet receives one. Review Application Form Invitation Type.
The grid shows the columns First Name, Last Name, Type, and Status, followed by the action button. The status and the button depend on the parent who is viewing; review Application Form Signing for the meaning of each state. When the parent has no invitations, the widget shows No invitations.
Title is the heading shown above the grid when the widget is placed inside a panel.
Not Started Text, In Progress Text, Locked By Co Parent Text, Your Signature Needed Text, Awaiting Second Signature Text, Awaiting Other Household Text, and Complete Text are the status texts shown in the Status column. The defaults are Not started, In progress, The other parent is signing, Your signature needed, Awaiting second signature, Awaiting other household, and Complete.
Start Button Text, Continue Button Text, and Sign Button Text are the captions of the action button. The defaults are Start, Continue, and Sign.
Inquiry Start Button Text is the caption of the Start button on an accepted applicant's row, for example Start enrollment. It is blank by default, and Start Button Text is used.
Inquiry Enroll Failed Text is the message shown above the grid when Start cannot enroll an accepted applicant. The default is We could not start this enrollment. The school has been notified.
Decline Button Text adds a second button next to Start or Continue on an invitation that has not collected a signature. It is blank by default, so no button is shown until the school enters a caption such as Decline. Clicking the button asks the parent to confirm, records the decline on the household's endorsement, and applies the decline settings of Application Form Details to the student. On an accepted applicant's row, the decline creates no student and records the form's On decline (accepted applicant): inquiry action, when one is set. Declined Text is the status shown afterwards; the default is Declined. Decline Confirm Text is the confirmation message; the default is Decline this enrollment agreement? The school will be notified and you will not be able to sign it afterwards.
Show Related Pdfs adds a link to the signed contract PDF on each invitation that has collected every required signature. Once the school has countersigned the household's contract, the link opens the countersigned copy. Pdf Link Text is the caption of that link; the default is Download.
Columns shows, hides, and orders the grid columns.
Navigate Url is described in CMS Widget - Standard Properties.
Note: Only one Application Invitations widget can be placed on a page.
Note: Clicking Start or Continue claims the household's editing lease. While one parent is in the form, the other parent of the same household sees The other parent is signing until the first parent has been inactive for twenty minutes.
Note: Set the page holding this widget as the No-invitation redirect page on Application Form Details, so that a parent who opens a form page directly is brought back here.
Note: A declined invitation shows the Declined Text and no buttons to every household of the student, and its form pages can no longer be opened. The decline is only accepted from a portal login that belongs to the household; a signed invitation cannot be declined. Reset Contract on Application Form Invitation returns a declined invitation to Not started.
Note: When a student matches more than one override for the same property of a widget, the form cannot be started for that student. Clicking Start shows This form isn't ready for your student yet. The school has been notified. above the list, the invitation stays Not started, and the school receives the student, the widget, and the overlapping combinations. A signing link from an email shows the same message. Once the school corrects the overrides on Application Form Overrides, the family can start the form.
Note: On an accepted applicant's row, Start enrolls the applicant as a Pre-Enrolled student with the Accepted applicants: pre-enroll profile of Application Form Details, creates the new student's invitation, and opens the first page of the student's agreement in the same click. The applicant's row is then replaced by the student's row. When the applicant cannot be enrolled, for example because no grade applied for is set or the admissions year of the applicant's school has not been rolled forward, Inquiry Enroll Failed Text is shown, the row keeps its Start button, and the reason is recorded in the error log, which emails the school's error contact with a copy to the contact email address set on Application Form Details. Review Application Form Invitation Type.
